Alex joined Akman Construction in 2011 and oversees the company’s accounting and administration departments, where he manages finance, accounting, human resources, payroll, and information technology. In addition to internal accounting, Alex brings advanced expertise in financial reporting, risk management, and software technology to Akman’s construction projects. This greatly benefits customers, trades, and consultants, and ultimately contributes to project success.

Alex’s implementation of Sage Paperless technology has significantly benefited our clients by providing detailed and streamlined digital accounting records. His audit background has also been very helpful to clients in adhering to SIF, CMHC, and other regulatory financial reporting requirements.

Prior to joining Akman Construction, Alex was with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in both the Audit and Assurance group and the Dispute Analysis and Valuation group. He obtained both his Chartered Accounting and Master of Professional Accounting designations in 2010 and continues to sharpen his skills through ongoing professional development.
