Jared represents the fourth generation of Akmans involved in the family construction business. He grew up in the company, sweeping floors at job sites as a teenager, where he was mentored by his father, grandfather, and long-time employees. Jared is involved in all aspects of construction and plays a key role in the procurement and administration of the construction management process, working closely with the Akman team. With over 15 years of experience in the company, he has led numerous high-profile projects.

Jared excels at communicating with customers and managing high-quality projects on time, within budget, and aligned with the project concept. He is focused on upholding the company’s long-standing values of integrity, collaboration, and commitment while modernizing the organization by adopting relevant new practices and technologies. 

Jared graduated from RRC Polytech with a diploma in Structural Engineering Technology. He continues to expand his knowledge of the industry and trade contractor base with the support of senior management. He actively contributes to the construction industry as the former Vice-Chair for the Young Construction Leaders of Manitoba (YCLM).
