As Construction Manager, Akman Construction Ltd. recently completed the 50,000 square foot Long & McQuade renovation, situated at 1300 Ellice Avenue. This new location will be divided into 20,000 square feet allocated to a Retail area and Lesson Centre, 25,000 square feet designated as Regional Warehouse space, including a staff room, with the remaining 4,000 square feet for future tenant space. The renovation included demolition, hazardous materials abatement (notably the remediation of lead-based paint) and the installation of modern mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems.
