Wesley Hall, one of the original buildings on the historic University of Winnipeg campus, officially opened its doors in 1896. Akman Construction undertook a significant historical restoration, replacing the original exterior cladding with new sandstone imported from Nova Scotia, Canada. A new slate roof was installed, and a new concrete foundation was introduced to enhance the structure’s stability.

The exterior cladding project, which preserves the building’s historic character, was honoured with several masonry awards for its remarkable achievement.
