Red River College is a combination of new construction and renovated turn of the century structures restored to their original glory when the facility opened in 2004. The 200,000 square foot facility in the heart of Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District offers business, communications and applied and creative arts programs to 22000 students.
The structural steel that supported the historical façade for more than two years during the initial phases of the project was reused in the third phase. This resulted in major capital savings and further energy credits. This building achieved a sustainability rating of C2000; the largest facility in Canada to receive this designation.
